Michelangelo Galliani

Michelangelo Galliani was born in 1975 at Montecchio Emilia, Reggio Emilia in Italy.

In 1995 he completes his studies on Stage Design at the Instituto d’Arte Paolo Toschi of Parma when in 1997 he does his first solo exhibition at the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Contemporanea, Reggio Emilia. In 1999 he finishes studying Art History and Restoration at the Instituto Palazzo Spinelli, Florence and in 2007 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Art Carrara, specialising in Sculpture.

Michelangelo Galliani in 2008 wins the 1st prize at the Premio Fabbri, Bologna and in 2014 his selected as one of the finalists at the “Open to Art” International Competition for Art Ceramics and Design, Milan.

In 2015 Galliani is Invited to speak at the “Forma, Spazio, Suono, gli artisti si raccontano” conference, held at the Accademia di Belle Art di Urbino, together with sculptor Pinuccio Sciola and the poet, writer and Art Historian Gian Ruggero Manzoni.

Galliani lives and works in Montecchio Emilia, and also teaches at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Urbino.
