Igor Mitoraj is considered one of the greatest contemporary sculptors. Polish, born on 26 March 1944 in Oederan, Germany. He is best known for his fragmented sculptures of the human body, often in large-scale public installations. His monumental sculptures stand in London, Rome, Milan, Paris, Lausanne, Kraków, and Warsaw.
